A person was wounded in a shooting in the Fairfax district Monday evening.
The shooting was reported about 7:33 p.m. in the area of La Brea and Willoughby avenues, near Poinsettia Recreation Center, said Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
LAPD officers set up a perimeter in the area to look for the shooter, who was described as a male wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and burgundy pants.
