A fire erupted Thursday in a Mead Valley transient camp, leaving at least one person injured, destroying a single-wide mobile home and damaging cars and other property.
The blaze was reported about 2:05 p.m. in the area of Cajalco Road and Seaton Avenue, just west of Interstate 215, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews and truck companies were sent to the location and encountered flames raging in a mobile home and threatening another, as well as damaging cars parked nearby and consuming debris piles.
An occupant of one of the mobile homes suffered unspecified injuries, but no other information was immediately available.
As of 2:30 p.m., firefighters had the blaze largely contained.
The cause was not immediately known.
