Two sisters were arrested Thursday for allegedly killing a man during a confrontation in Perris.

Erica Nicole Bratschi, 19, and Jessica Taylor Bratschi, 24, both of Perris were booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter and being under the influence of a controlled substance. They’re each being held in lieu of $80,000 bail.

According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Richard Carroll, about 12:15 a.m., the sisters were involved in an undisclosed dispute with the victim, identified only as a Perris man, in the 400 block of Wilkerson Avenue, near East Fourth Street.

During the encounter, a weapon was used to strike the man, Carroll said, but no other details were provided.

Deputies and paramedics were called to the location and found the victim unconscious, suffering major injuries, according to Carroll. The suspects had fled, he said.

Rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Carroll said Central Homicide detectives tracked the sisters down on North Perris Boulevard hours later and took them into custody without incident.

Background information on the women was unavailable.
