Firefighters knocked down a vacant house fire in Westlake Sunday evening.

The blaze was reported at 9:06 p.m. inside a house with an exposed building on one side at 122 S. Coronado St., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

Firefighters managed to protect the exposed building.

The department dispatched 31 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in 18 minutes, Stewart said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
