Police were investigating an armed robbery Tuesday in Lake Balboa during which a person was pistol-whipped by a suspect.
The crime occurred at about 1:50 a.m. in the 6800 block of Louise Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Three men robbed three people at gunpoint and fled in a dark-colored sedan, police said. The suspects took a purse and three phones, Fox11 reported.
