Two people apparently exposed to an unknown substance in the South Los Angeles area Monday were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The problem, involving “an undetermined product,” was reported about 9 a.m. in the 200 block of West 115th Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Paramedics and hazardous-materials teams were sent to the scene, said Margaret Stewart of the LAFD.
“Two patients appear to have been exposed and are being transported in critical condition,” Stewart said.
The type of product involved in the incident was not immediately known.
