A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday at a Moreno Valley intersection.
The fatality occurred about 9:45 a.m. at Heacock and Sandbow streets, adjacent to the Poorman Reservoir, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that the victim, whose identity was not released, was killed on impact, though the circumstances were not immediately clear.
Sheriff’s deputies were handling the investigation.
There was no word on whether the motorist was taken into custody.
