A fire damaged an apartment building in La Habra Tuesday, but no one was hurt.

The fire was reported at about 10 a.m. in the 400 block of East Whittier Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which provides fire services for the Orange County community.

The blaze quickly went to a third alarm, with about 100 firefighters descending on the scene to combat “heavy fire” in the attic, according to the agency.

At about 11 a.m., the fire was declared out. The cause of the fire was under investigation. Red Cross personnel were sent to assist residents.
