Fire crews knocked down a blaze in an hour and 12 minutes Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles.
Firefighters were called at 12:13 a.m. to 1120 S. Main St. where they found a blaze at a two-story commercial building, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The blaze was fought from a defensive position until firefighters got the upper hand and extinguished it at approximately 1:25 a.m., Humphrey said.
It took 86 firefighters to extinguish the flames.
