A man was taken to a trauma center Saturday after his hand got stuck in a piece of assembly line machinery at a Huntington Park manufacturing plant.
The accident was reported at 3:22 p.m. in the 5700 block of Bickett Street, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Ed Pickett.
An Urban Search and Rescue task force was dispatched to the scene to free the man from the machine, Pickett said.
It took about 30 minutes from the time of dispatch for firefighters to complete the task and take the man to a hospital, he said.
