A man was wounded Saturday by a gunman on a bicycle downtown.
The shooting occurred at 5:07 p.m. at San Pedro and Fifth streets, according to a dispatcher at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 20-year-old victim was walking on the sidewalk when a male on a bicycle approached and shot him, then rode away, she said.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs, she said.
The shooting was under investigation as gang-related.
