Sheriff’s deputies opened fire on a suspect Sunday evening in Ladera Heights.
The deputy-involved shooting happened in the 3800 block of Chanson Drive around 7:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to an unspecified call for service and encountered the man whom they shot at, the LASD said. The man was not hit by gunfire, but he was detained and transported to a hospital for a checkup.
What led up to the shooting was not disclosed by the LASD, and the man’s name was not released.
