Firefighters battled a second-alarm residential fire in Jurupa Valley Saturday afternoon that scorched about a quarter acre of grass.
The fire was reported at 4:33 p.m. in the 400 block of Campbell Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. It was contained at 5:49 p.m., the department reported.
The blaze burned one building, one detached garage, one vehicle, one shed and two green houses, according to the department.
Responding firefighters found a single-story home and multiple debris piles burning at the scene and requested additional resources, fire officials said.
It was not immediately clear if the fire caused any injuries or displacements.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
