Firefighters knocked down a rubbish fire that extended into several detached garages Sunday evening in the Florence area of Los Angeles.
The fire at 8325 S. Stanford Ave. was reported at 8:33 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The department dispatched 30 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in 28 minutes, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said.
