Two teens were wounded in a shooting in the Adams-Normandie area of Los Angeles and both were taken to a hospital where they were treated for their injuries, police said Monday.
The shooting was reported about 6:50 p.m. Sunday at 27th Street and Vermont Avenue, according to a dispatcher in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man were sitting inside a vehicle eating when they were approached by a male suspect who fired multiple gunshots into the vehicle, she said.
The suspect ran away from the scene but left the weapon behind, she said.
The victims were taken by paramedics to a hospital where they had stable vital signs, the dispatcher said.
The shooting was not believed gang related, she said.
