Police are asking the public for help in finding a 77-year-old man who went missing in Riverside Saturday morning.
Bobby Dale Smith was last seen at about 4 a.m. at a convalescent care facility in the 8100 block of Magnolia Avenue, according to the Riverside Police Department.
Police said Smith’s wheelchair was later located at an eastbound bus stop on Magnolia and Adams Street.
Smith’s caretakers told police that he had previously made comments about returning to his home in the Rubidoux neighborhood along Mission Boulevard, but when officers went to the residence, he was not there.
Smith was described as 5-feet-8 inches tall, weighing 176 pounds with white hair and brown eyes and possibly wearing a white T-shirt.
Authorities added that he suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
Anyone who sees Smith or has information about his whereabouts was urged to call Riverside police at 951-354-2007.
