At least one person was killed Monday morning in a multiple vehicle crash on the HOV connector road from the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Seal Beach.
The crash was reported at 3:29 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP in Orange County issued a SigAlert shutting down all lanes of the connector and the CHP in Los Angeles County also issued a SigAlert for all southbound 605 lanes from Willow Avenue in Long Beach because traffic was expected to back up there, according to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig. The far right southbound lane was reopened just after 4:30 a.m.
