A residential fire in the Larchmont area of Los Angeles Monday left a person hospitalized with serious injuries.
Firefighters sent to the 4700 block of West Elmwood Avenue at 12:16 p.m. extinguished the flames in 20 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The injured person was taken to a hospital in serious condition for treatment of smoke inhalation and burns, the LAFD reported.
The extent of the damage to the property was not immediately available, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
