A body was found hanging from a tree in Griffith Park Tuesday, and an investigation was underway.
Firefighters were sent to the area near the park’s Merry Go Round at about 12:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Los Angeles Police Department was called in to conduct a death investigation, an LAPD spokesperson said.
Officials did not immediately specify the gender or age of the victim, and it was unclear if foul play was involved or if it was a suicide.
