Firefighters Friday fully contained a half-acre grass fire that sparked near a freeway interchange in the Studio City area.
Firefighters went to the area of the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway and the Hollywood (170) Freeway shortly after noon Friday, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took 20 firefighters just over two hours to gain control of the brusher, which was fully contained by about 2:15 p.m.
No structures were threatened by the flames and no injuries were reported, Humphrey said. Some traffic lanes in the area were closed during firefighting efforts, but were reopened once the brusher was contained.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
