A man, woman and child suffered burns Saturday evening in a fire that burned inside a two-story apartment building in the University Park area of Los Angeles.
The blaze inside the building at 1368 W. 24th St. was reported at 7:03 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The victims were a 35-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 10-year-old child whose gender was not specified, Prange said. All three were transported to a hospital.
The department dispatched 34 firefighters to the scene and put out the flames in 11 minutes, Prange said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
