A 44-year-old teacher suspected of being drunk on a school campus while teaching children was arrested Monday.
Brian Dennis Nichols of Palm Springs was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, possession of alcohol on school grounds and child endangerment, according to Sgt. Nicolas Lingle of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded around 10:20 a.m. Monday to the 86100 block of Avenue 66 to reports of an intoxicated teacher on a school campus, Lingle said.
Nichols was being held at the John J. Benoit Detention Center on $35,000 bail.
