One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Wilmington Thursday evening.
The collision occurred just after 8:15 p.m. in the area 1753 N. Avalon Blvd., near Banning High School, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
LAFD paramedics were called to the scene and found one person dead. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
One other person had to be rescued from inside a vehicle, but it was not immediately known if they were injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
