Authorities Thursday identified a man who was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Van Nuys.
The collision was reported just before 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday in the area of the 16000 block of Raymer Street, near the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Archie Benavidez, 51, who was homeless, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
