Firefighters contained a quarter-acre grass fire in El Sereno in 22 minutes Thursday evening.

The fire was reported at 9: 32 p.m. and 20 firefighters responded to 4721 E. Klamath St., west of Eastern Avenue, where they extinguished the flames that had been slowly moving uphill, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman.

No structures damaged and no injuries were reported, Bastman said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
