A 40-year-old man who was fatally shot in Hawthorne was identified by county authorities Friday.
The shooting was reported at about 9:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 11600 block of Van Ness Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified Cory Hubbard as the victim of the shooting. Hubbard, whose city of residence was not immediately known, died at the scene.
Hubbard died of gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.
No suspect information was available.
