A man was killed when he crashed his SUV into two poles on a Porter Ranch street, authorities said Monday.

The crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 18500 block of Rinaldi Street around Darby Avenue, according to Officer A. Delatorre of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.

The 46-year-old man was driving westbound on Rinaldi Street when he crashed into a telephone pole, Delatorre said. He kept moving westbound and crashed into a large metal pole. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was a Jeep, as shown in news video.
