Firefighters confined and successfully knocked down a fire at a vacant commercial building Wednesday in Wilmington.

The fire was reported at 12:02 a.m. and upon their arrival firefighters began defensive firefighting operations at 510 W. Anaheim St., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

It took 79 firefighters 1 hour and 49 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
