A fire that erupted Tuesday in a Woodcrest house burned the structure’s upper half, but no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported about 3:40 p.m. in the 14300 block of Harvey Lane, near Canyon Ridge Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Arriving crews encountered flames burning through the roof of the single-story residence, fire officials said.
Firefighters gained the upper hand 40 minutes later, knocking the blaze down and preventing it from spreading beyond the upper tier of the house.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was displaced.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
