Los Angeles police officers shot a man to death Monday in Westlake.
The man had armed himself with a large knife and barricaded himself inside a Westlake apartment when officers arrived around 3:30 p..m., according to police.
The officer-involved shooting happened at Whitmer and Sixth streets around 4:25 p.m., CBS2 reported.
The man in his 40s was a domestic violence suspect who had violated a restraining order, according to the station. Police would not immediately confirm the report.
The man’s identity was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
