After battling a greater alarm fire for nearly an hour, firefighters contained a blaze at an empty two-story residential building in Lincoln Heights.

Fire crews were called at 1:37 a.m. to 2651 N. Pasadena Ave. where they used large-diameter hose lines to contain the flames, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

After knocking back the flames, firefighters moved inside the building to finish off the hard-to-reach areas and remaining hot spots.

It took 45 firefighters 54 minutes to extinguish the flames, Prange said.

No injuries were reported.
