A man in his 60s was fatally stabbed in the Mid-City section of Los Angeles Friday and a man in his 30s was injured and a man in his 60s was arrested, according to broadcast reports.

The stabbing occurred around 3:50 p.m. in the 1900 block of Longwood Avenue, near Washington Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, police told KTLA5.

The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment, CBS2 reported. His condition was unknown.

The deceased victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police have not released any details on the man in custody or what precipitated the stabbings.
