A 62-year-old man was wounded Saturday afternoon in a Santa Clarita shooting.
The shooting was reported about 2:10 p.m. in the 35700 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road, according to a desk deputy at the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
The victim was wounded in the buttocks and one leg by an unknown suspect who fled the scene, the deputy said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was called to the shooting at 1:53 p.m., said Dispatch Supervisor Imy Velderrain.
She described the wounds as superficial but said the victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
