A group of demonstrators protesting the death of Tyre Nichols at the hands of Memphis police staged a peaceful protest Sunday in the Venice area.
The protesters gathered in the area of Venice and Lincoln boulevards around 5 p.m., according to Los Angeles police.
The group then headed south peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights.
They gathered near newly elected Los Angeles City Councilmember Traci Park’s residence before marching back peacefully to the area of Venice and Lincoln boulevards.
