Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a man who went missing after going for a hike in Wildomar.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Lake Elsinore station responded to the 21000 block of Grand Avenue on Friday to a report of a lost hiker.
The man’s wife reported that her husband, Robert Connors, 63, of Wildomar left the location to go for a hike in the surrounding area and did not return. Connors left his home at approximately 7:50 a.m., according to the sheriff’s department.

Deputies searched for Connors with the help of a helicopter, bloodhound, the Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit and volunteers who lived in the area, but were unable to locate him. The search for Connors continued on Saturday, but he was not found. Authorities announced they would continue the search on Sunday.
Connors was described as 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighing 155 pounds. He is bald with blonde hair on the side, has blue eyes and was last seen wearing a gray and black flannel shirt, gray pants, black-and-white tennis shoes, a grey beanie and an orange-and-black backpack.
