Los Angeles Fire Department crews made quick work Monday of a bungalow fire in the Valley Glen area, and no injuries were reported.
The fire was reported around 2:20 p.m. in the 6600 block of North Whitsett Avenue, according to the LAFD.
The blaze erupted in the end unit in a row of bungalows, fire officials said.
“The fire extended into a common attic space and was burning east from the end unit towards Whitsett,” according to the LAFD. “Firefighters located and stopped the fire from extending into adjoined units.”
It took 28 firefighters about 17 minutes to extinguish the flames.
Traffic was shut down between Archwood and Kittridge streets as crews battled the flames.
There was no immediate word on a cause or damage amount.
