Two people were rescued from the Santa Ana Riverbed Saturday after being trapped in Jurupa Valley, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The incident was reported around 9:44 a.m. Saturday south of Riverview Drive and Juan Diaz Avenue and fire crews arrived on the scene and were able to visually locate the trapped victims. A boat rescue began and rescuers entered the water at 10:55 a.m., authorities said.
The two victims were taken to a hospital, but their condition was not immediately available.
