An allegedly armed suspect was arrested Wednesday after briefly barricading himself inside his vehicle in Lancaster.
Deputies responded around 3:30 p.m. to a WinCo Foods market, where the unidentified suspect was sitting inside a gold-colored pickup armed with a handgun, authorities said.
Deputies ordered the suspect to exit the vehicle, but he initially ignored the demands, extending the brief standoff. But he later surrendered to authorities.
It was unclear why the suspect was armed. His name was not immediately released.
