A 29-year-old man suspected of possessing counterfeit bills and fentanyl was taken into custody in Cabazon, authorities said Saturday.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Cabazon station responded to a call in the 49000 block of Seminole Drive on Thursday night about a person suspected of passing counterfeit bills. The suspect fled the scene in a blue Mazda, according to the department.
Lennox Lupeli of Riverside had a warrant for his arrest and was found in possession of “several hundred dollars in counterfeit bills, along with suspected fentanyl,” according to sheriff’s Sgt. Phillip Pike.
Anyone with information about the case was urged to contact Deputy Lloyd or Sergeant Carlberg at the Cabazon sheriff’s station at 951-922-7100.
