Two people were injured Monday, one severely, in a rollover crash on a trail on the east end of Wildomar.
The crash, possibly involving an off-road vehicle, happened just before 5 p.m. in a remote area near Harvest Way and Rooster Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters were unable to reach the crash scene from a road and had to hike to the location, reaching the overturned vehicle and the two victims, both minors, shortly after 5 p.m., fire officials said.
One patient was unconscious, critically injured, while the other escaped with minor injuries, according to reports from the scene.
The victims were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment.
Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the crash.
