A fire at a bakery in a Van Nuys strip mall was extinguished in 27 minutes by 36 firefighters Friday evening.

The fire was reported at 10:47 p.m. and firefighters responded to 12630 Raymer St. where they found flames coming out of one unit of the mall, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

The building’s fire sprinklers prevented the flames from spreading, Prange said.

No injuries were reported.
