A man barricaded himself inside his Pomona home Monday, which led to a large police presence and the shutdown of surrounding streets, according to police.
The Pomona Police Department said officers responded to the 600 block of N Reservoir Street to a call made by a woman who reported being concerned for her friend’s wellbeing around 4:15 a.m. on Monday.
According to authorities, the man was barricaded with a woman inside, who was later rescued by officers.
The relationship between the man and woman was unknown.
As of 10 a.m. on Monday, the man was still inside the home, according to Pomona PD.
Several surrounding streets were closed to traffic. Police advised residents to avoid the area.
