Firefighters Saturday knocked down a fire inside a laundry room at a three-story apartment building in the Mar Vista community of Los Angeles, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 11:40 a.m. to 11460 W. Venice Blvd. had the fire out within 13 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“Occupants are being sheltered in place while firefighters place blowers to (ventilate) the residual smoke on both residential floors,” the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
