Sheriff’s detectives Saturday evening asked the public for help locating a 71-year-old man who went missing in Norwalk.
Joe Montiel was last seen about 8 p.m. Thursday on the 11500 block of Firestone Boulevard, according to sheriff’s officials.
There is concern for Montiel’s wellbeing because he is an insulin-dependent diabetic, officials said.
Montiel is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 175 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes, wearing a gray or black jacket and gray sweatpants.
Anyone with information on Montiel’s whereabouts was asked to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
