A 50-year-old woman suffered a lower extremity injury while hiking Saturday in the Hollywood Hills and was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 12:47 p.m. Saturday to 3040 Runyon Canyon Road, where a hoist operation was conducted to extract the woman from the terrain, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Paramedics took her to a hospital. No further information was immediately available.
