Authorities chased a reportedly stolen pickup truck from East Los Angeles to Huntington Park Tuesday, where the motorist was taken into custody after the vehicle collided with a car.
The crash occurred around 7 a.m. at Randolph and State streets, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and reports from the scene.
Deputies from the sheriff’s East Los Angeles Station had conducted a traffic stop on the pickup, which was reported stolen, but the motorist sped off, the sheriff’s department reported.
The chase led to Huntington Park, where the suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was taken into custody after the pickup and a car collided, KTLA5 reported. Several people in the car were evaluated for possible injuries.
