A fire was burning Thursday in a commercial building in Signal Hill.
Firefighters were sent to the 1700 block of East 28th Street shortly before 6 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire burned through the roof of the building. No injuries were immediately reported.
