A 33-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday and was immediately sentenced to 146 days in jail for groping a 15-year-old girl and a woman at a party in Yorba Linda, and later getting into an alcohol-fueled hit-and-run collision while out of custody.
Jimmy Paul Jimenez pleaded guilty to one count each of burglary, child molestation, committing a lewd act on a child age 14 or 15, all felonies, and a misdemeanor count of touching an intimate part of another person.
Jimenez groped a woman, who had passed out, and the teenager in another room at a party in a Yorba Linda home on May 31, 2020, according to Kimberly Edds, a spokeswoman for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. While out on bail, he got into a hit-and-run with injury Nov. 21, 2020, according to court records.
Jimenez pleaded guilty in that case to a felony count of failing to stop at a hit-and-run collision with injury, and misdemeanor counts of attempting to prevent or dissuade a witness or victim from testifying, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest. He also admitted a sentencing enhancement for committing a secondary offense while out of custody.
Jimenez was placed on two years of formal probation.
