A worker was killed Wednesday when a wall collapsed at a construction site in Pacoima.
Firefighters were sent to the 10500 block of Glenoaks Boulevard at about 8:50 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“Firefighters arrived to find a cinder block wall fell and trapped one patient, and injuring another,” an LAFD statement said. “One patient with back pain has been transported.”
The second worker, whose name was not immediately available, was pronounced dead at the scene, the LAFD reported.
The Los Angeles Police Department and Cal-OSHA were notified, and the circumstances of the death were under investigation.
