A man suspected of driving recklessly on several freeways and streets was taken into custody following a pursuit that began in the San Dimas area and ended in Long Beach Tuesday evening.
The pursuit began on Interstate 210, according to KCAL, then continued on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway. After weaving through traffic near Downey and Norwalk, the suspect entered the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway, then the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway near Long Beach, according to KCAL.
The suspect exited the freeway in Long Beach, routinely sped past stop signs and briefly drove on the wrong side of the street, KCAL reported.
The suspect stopped his car in Long Beach, attempted to run away, but surrendered to authorities near 15th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue around 7 p.m.
